ABOUT US
The Dade County Street Response Disaster Relief Team was founded in 2018 by a group of medical students dedicated to providing community-centered medical and psychological services to South Florida residents in preparation for and response to disasters. Inspired by the many community outreach efforts that provided disaster relief to South Florida residents after Hurricane Irma, the team seeks to create a platform to connect residents with existing support services, provide disaster-related medical relief, and to coordinate a community-oriented, systematic, post-disaster response network.
Our service areas include Miami Gardens, Opa Locka, Overtown, Allapattah, Little Havana, East Hialeah, Liberty City, and Miami Shores. As we continue to grow, we anticipate providing services in Hollywood, Dania Beach, and other communities in Broward and West Palm Beach Counties. Visit our Facebook to keep up with our advocacy and events.
In 2020, DCSR expanded by partnering with the Miami Street Medicine team. Our weekly outreach now delivers high-quality healthcare and case management to our neighbors on the street throughout the year.
