ABOUT US

The Dade County Street Response Disaster Relief Team was founded in 2018 by a group of medical students dedicated to providing community-centered medical and psychological services to South Florida residents in preparation for and response to disasters. The team seeks to create a platform to connect residents with existing support services, provide disaster-related medical relief, and to coordinate a community-oriented, systematic, post-disaster response network. Visit our Facebook to keep up with our advocacy and events.

In 2020, DCSR expanded by partnering with the Miami Street Medicine team. Together, we're able to offer year-round medical care, case management, MedEd & community programs, and a groundbreaking model for disaster relief teams. Our weekly outreach now delivers high-quality healthcare and case management to our neighbors on the street throughout the year. Disaster Activation

When a hurricane hits, we operationalize as a unified medical relief team under the Community Emergency Operations Center (CEOC).

Our service areas include Miami Gardens, Opa Locka, Overtown, Allapattah, Little Havana, East Hialeah, Liberty City, and Miami Shores. As we continue to grow, we anticipate providing services in Hollywood, Dania Beach, and other communities in Broward and West Palm Beach Counties.
